Rode the Monarch Crest last weekend. Karma finally caught up with me... :-) Got a flat just south of Marshall Pass. While attempting to replace the tube (also flat...), my pump broke. Anton came riding by and asked if I needed assistance. He gave me a tube and got me going in under five minutes. He was very nice, professional and extremely helpful! I owe you, brother! I'll be in soon to pay for the tube AND bring a six pack! Many thanks!!!
We came to Salida to mountain bike and within 20 minutes of riding we discovered one bike wouldn't shift properly and then the derailleur broke on the other. We had gotten great information from the owner of Salida Bike Company earlier so took the bikes back for repairs. He had them fixed in 1 hour and for a very reasonable charge. He is quick and knowledgeable and I highly recommend this shop.

He once opened his door to me after hours during a minor emergency for a flat, and trusted me to come back with the money next morning.

Tour Divide Riders: This is the bike shop to go to in Salida! Highly recommend this place if you need to get your bike tuned/repaired! Staff and owner are very cool people! (Bonus: they even have a shower in the back so you can wash off all that dust and mud while your bike is getting worked on).
His mechanic, Kat, is the best around.
