If I didn't know a little about my truck, I'd be out $1800, and would have had to stay away from my pregnant wife for an extra week waiting for parts my truck didn't need.
Attempted RIPOFF. Brought my truck in for a weird sound coming from the rear end. The mechanic, Tim, said it would be an $1800 complete rebuild of my rear differential. I check the gear oil myself, which was almost empty, changed it, and then drove over 1500 miles back to my home in Louisiana.
