I found a few nice things in this little shop. And I left them there. I bought a few things but its hard to shop when you're constantly being run over.
Not sure who this customer is but can't imagine EVER having a bad experience in this store. Everyone is SO nice and helpful. They have an amazing selection of yarn, fabric and cute gifts. This has become my "go to" store and not once have I had a bad experience. You have to check it out if you are in the area. I promise you won't be "run over" and the only crabby person in there was the person who wrote the crazy review! Fringe is GREAT!
Fringe is a real gem of a find in downtown historic Salida. Its interior is well-lit and colorful, with organized displays of yarn, fabric and gifts. I spent a few days in Salida, and was fortuitous enough to have my visit coincide with a basic crocheting class. The class was fun and casual, and for a two hour class, the amount I learned was definitely worth the tuition. The store displays a vast and inspiring collection of yarns and patterns. Penny, the owner, came and went when I was there, and she was friendly, welcoming, and knowlegable. Salida has plenty to offer people of many ilks, but if you are into yarn or fabric, or are just looking to bring something unique home for a gift, don't miss out on Fringe!
I won't be back. Go to Buena Vista's Serendipity, west on Main St. The little shop there had a better selection of yarn and gifts and the shopping there was a very pleasant experience.
I was on crutches and I was constantly being run over by the crabby lady that does the knitting lessons. I was the one that kept having to move from the areas I was browsing. And I'm the customer? I was interesting in watching the knitting lessons but was flat out told I wasn't welcome. Eccentric or just flat out RUDE? It was just mean.
