Great place to rent a vehicle to get around town or a jeep to travel the hills. The owner has knowledge of the area that you can only get by experiencing it, streets or mountains.
Rented a couple of wranglers from Craig on July 5th. Awesome guy, would give you the shirt off his back. Jeeps were tougher than my liver, just as he said. Had a great time and will definitely rent from him again if I'm back in the area, and if I have my own Jeep by then I'll just stop by to say hi.
This is the first place anyone should book in Salida. Craig is a cool dude. He makes you feel very welcome, treats you like an old friend. Has cool dogs. Jeeps are very well maintained. He gives excellent trail advice/suggestions. He loaned us a cooler because ours was a teeny bit big for the jeep. He provides good maps, and tells you all about the trails (we should have been taking notes). -On second thought, Craig, make a pamphlet or something, we got confused on some key points of what you said-, He also is a great free source of local dining, lodging, and rafting services. We were only going to jeep one day, but ended up doing 2 days because the trails around Salida are so good. If and when we go back to Salida we will definitely book with him again.
No one knows the area better than Craig. Super friendly environment. Tough vehicles. Amazing views.
Can't say enough good things about this place. Friendly colorful conversations with the staff led to expert advice and guidance to make for a fantastic vacation experiance! Well maintained reliable equipment. Were definitely going to come back again and again.
