Got a whiskey. In my semi-informed opinion very unbalanced. Overwhelming malt flavor. Service was poor had to get bar maid's attention in an empty bar. Only two other patrons in bar who were apparently more important than anyone else in the establishment. Took my $10 for a $9 whiskey and assumed the change was hers without asking. Then never asked us if we wanted anything else. The building is very cool, great atmosphere but I'd recommend you just go to any of the many other Salida bars and drink for better service and whiskey.

We came to this place twice over Memorial Day weekend, for afternoon drinks on Friday and for the Bloody Mary bar on Saturday morning. Their liquors are all very good; I enjoyed their whisky and my wife enjoyed the cocktail she got with the gin and elderflower liqueur. The distillery is in the back and the bar area is comfortable and nice. We didn't get anything but I think they had some light food, though there are a lot of other restaurant options around.
This is the only bar in town I'll drink at. The drinks are made from scratch from whiskey to bitters all made right there. It's hard to find a better tasting drink. Be careful though they are mighty strong drinks! :D
