Avoid Colorado I Scream & Stuff at all costs. The ice cream was average, and the customer service and food were both terrible.
This has to be the worst soft serve I've ever had in my life. Couldn't even finish it. Couldn't even find a trashcan to throw it away- they have all of their trashcans hidden because they don't want people to know how much ice cream is in the trash. I had to give it back to the owner and they offered no refund. Its basically frozen soylent green with large grainy urine crystals in it.
Great food considering the location. Friendly service, fresh tasting and feeling, a little spendy. There is a restroom (port-o-potty - very well kept) but only for customers. No trash cans, but as soon as we were finished an attendant came out to take our trash. The window lady was happy to refill my dad’s water bottle.
However, the food here is AWFUL. I had their beef noodle soup, and the soup was less soup than white sludge with the viscosity of gravy. The beef was hard and tasteless, and it had a green sheen to it that definitely meant it was far from fresh. One of my friends had their tempura shrimp soup, which came with tempura shrimp directly from the frozen section at any supermarket. My other friend had orange chicken that also tasted like frozen boxed food. To top it off, all these were way overpriced at over $10 per dish.
Total SCAM! $13.75 "Seasame Chicken" was a actually CHEAP freezer-section CHICKEN NUGGETS cut in half, covered in nasty sauce, along side some freezer brocolli that had barely been defrosted!!! My boyfriends brocolli was still frozen!!! THEY DO NOT COOK ANYTHING HERE, IT IS ALL REHEATED, CHEAP, FREEZER SECTION FOOD. The chicken nuggets were EXACTLY like the big bags of nuggets you can get in the freezer section at Wal-Mart. We sat near the kitchen, no sounds of cooking what so ever, food was out in a few minutes.
WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD AT A RESTRAUNT!
The worst experience I've ever had at any food place. Do not be fooled by the charm of its name or the fact it has a wide ranging menu that includes everything from ice cream to burgers to dim sum to Chinese. The ice cream is run of the mill here, I had their green tea ice cream with fudge which wasn't terrible but still tasted like something you could buy at the supermarket and make yourself.
Finally, the customer service was bad too. The woman that took our order was rude and impatient, and seemed very annoyed when we so much as asked a question about the menu. She didn't make the experience any more pleasant. While I didn't experience this myself, I've seen reviews on Yelp where the owners threatened to fight customers who objected to their abysmal food and service, and MULTIPLE incidents where the owners also wished a car accident upon them. Foul language was part of the deal as well.
We ordered hamburgers, fries, pad thai. The hamburgers and fries did not taste good. The pad thai came with a tiny amount of vegetables. It was expensive. They have no bathroom, only a single porta-potty.
We only stopped here so I could use the restroom, but they won't let you use their porta potty without buying food, so we got this $13.75 dish-from-hell that should have been $3 tops. GROSSLY OVERPRICED JUNK!!!!
