The owner is always a presence in the cafe making sure everything is running smoothly. You can tell how passionate he is about his place and serving delicious coffee to the sleepy masses. We visit Salida (my mom lives there) every year during FIBARK (which is a crazy busy time) and he always makes us smile with his dry humor and quality coffee. Cafe Dawn is usually our 1st stop every morning.
Cash only and I hope it stays that way since it makes their prices super reasonable. Very cosy seats and fun art around too.
There's plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Overall it seems popular more because of the gathering space than because of the quality of the espresso shots.
I enjoyed my latte very much. Very nice barrista and cashier.
Great place to meet people. Coffee is great, food looks very good (though have not tried the food). Just a relaxing place to hang out in middle of town. Highly recommend to anyone young or old.
