Went to Mama D's for a quick dinner before a seminar; clean & bright atmosphere with great customer service! We enjoyed the philly steak & cheese and the meatball sandwich! It's definitely changed for the better since the new owners took over:)
Got what was supposed to be a strawberry shake..was actually strawberry milk...$3.50 for a Small cup. I took it back and asked for a cup of ice cream $2.25...the manager/owner gave me a Dixie cup of ice cream and didn't even offer to give me the change due to me from the shake. I told her to just give me my money back period...she then asked what was wrong with ice cream and I told her nothing and she got attitude with me. I told her that customer service is a great thing to have in this business and she replied "I do have great customer service," which I replied "No, you do not." How does a person believe that when you didn't even offer my change back from the original charge of $3.50?? That's stealing!!! Terrible new owner of Mama D'S...Never going back!?!! PS...OVER PRICED EVERYTHING!!! Had to give a star because I couldn't give a big fat ZERO
The street tacos were delicious. Made with roasted beef and a flavorful special sauce. Nice size portion for the price. Great customer service. The owner is very nice and made us feel welcome. Great experience. We'll come back next time we're in Salida.
We got Gyros and a Chicago dog. Best ever!!! And the lady at the counter was the sweetest!
We had a Reuben, Frito pie, and Sophie's grilled cheese. The Reuben was delicious and the kids really liked the grilled cheese and Frito pie. It was close enough to the Riverside Park to take out and have a picnic.
