Don't waste your money! There are plenty of other places to stay in Salida and I'm assuming you would never have to deal with this poor of "customer service" anywhere else.
Most important.. It was clean. Nice front desk. Decent breakfast. Good price
Besides knowing the owners this place is fantastic. Newly updated. Very clean very nice atmosphere. A great breakfast. And the hot is pretty nice also

Nearly a month after my stay I still have not heard from the manager or owner. I have called and tried to talk to the mystery manager that is never there. I've been told 1) she only comes in every once in a while 2) she's on vacation 3) she got your message and will call you when she has a chance. My last call resulted in the lady on the phone telling me it sounded like I was "blackmailing" the hotel by threatening to leave negative reviews. What I was trying to do was give the hotel a chance to make things right. It's been nearly a month and I've heard nothing, hence this review.
Stayed in the honeymoon suite. Best decision ever! Room was big and beautiful. Jacuzzi was ok. Got a champagne with the room. Abundance of towels and pillows. Breakfast wasn't great - bread, toast, waffles, some fake packaged muffins and stuff.
I have stayed here many times over the years, typically with nice accommodations. I recently paid nearly $300 to stay in the family suite, the largest room in the hotel. The stay was terrible and my attempts to talk to the owner or manager about it have led nowhere. The air conditioning unit repeatedly tripped the breaker and we had to get up every 15-20 minutes all night to hit the reset button on the a/c unit. Keep in mind it was very hot that night and air conditioning was needed. There was no one at the front desk after 11 p.m. so we couldn't do anything about it. First thing in the morning I went down to the front desk and told them about the situation. They argued that I should have contacted their maintenance people... which I said was not possible because no one was at the front desk. After arguing with me that the unit was brand new, I offered for them to come to the room to see for themselves. Sure enough, they came by the room and witnessed the air conditioning unit trip the breaker. They were very apologetic and realized they handled the situation terribly. I WAS TOLD THE MANAGER OR OWNER WOULD CALL ME THE NEXT DAY.
Really nice B & B with elevator. Loved using the hot tub right on our balcony. Breakfast was wonderful! Very nice owners, that greet you and will tell you history of the place and surroundings nearby. Really enjoyed this place.
