The staff wasn't super friendly for us, as some people report, but they were helpful when we needed something. Everyone has a bad day now and again, so no biggie.
Very clean and comfortable, well- maintained, tastefully renovated 60s-style motor lodge. Welcoming outdoor seating areas. Nice. I will return.
Room was older, needed some sheet rock work, paint, and new decorations, but VERY clean.
Vintage 1950's style motor lodge with restored furnishings and amenities. There's a hot tub and huge sun deck with great views, Continental breakfast and comfy rooms. The lodge is across the street from the Salida Hot Springs and walking distance to the historic district downtown. We had a great night's sleep and would absolutely stay here again the next time we're in town.
My family and I stayed here recently. We were very pleased! Great rate, polite and friendly service, super clean, continental breakfast. The owners definitely take pride in providing their customers with a happy and comfortable experience. What was even more impressive was when my daughter left her prescription glasses behind, they immediately let us know and shipped them out to us. Thank you!
We enjoyed our stay in suite #44. The place is older, and some areas still need updating, but you can tell the owners care about creating a pleasant atmosphere. The greenery/landscaping were obviously arranged by someone with an eye for garden aesthetics.
Room was actually a really neat room. It has large floor to ceiling windows. Looks cool from the inside and outside. But you could see in from the road. We kept curtains closed most of the time. But the real hoot was the 18 inch toilet. A kindergarten size toilet. Made me feel like I was really tall. LOL! Everything was totally clean, king bed was comfortable. Room size was bigger than a normal room. People were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our time in the area.
