I actually NEVER write reviews for hotels, etc., but when Melissa asked, I quickly agreed. The rooms were very pleasant but the best part was the staff, especially Melissa. Just did a terrific job in making us feel welcome and cared for. Thanks, Melissa! I'll gladly stay at SIMS again.
LUV this place! I have worked for a large hotel chain for over 30 years & this motel makes me smile more than most others I've ever stayed in. My sister & I stayed here for our annual Colorado trip. We got a mini-suite. Plenty of room, great bathroom, easy parking. Comfortable beds and we could swear that the tiled bathroom floor is heated. Staff is friendly, too. Would highly recommend.
My husband and I pulled into town late around 7 PM ,we drove around downtown and saw a place there and considered staying. However we were pretty tired and just needed a place to rest as we were driving home from a long vacation.I looked on Google maps scanned the hotel list briefly, pointed to this one and I said this is why I want to go. I was not disappointed in my quick decision-they take care of everything! From the linens, to the cleanliness, to the thoughtful upgrades of plug-ins everywhere, to the total redo of the rooms that has been done over the past few years, to the extra little breakfast that was an improvement over most others, last but not least the friendliness of the people who work there -namely Melissa and Jay- I can’t say enough about it! Make this place your first choice, you won’t regret it!
Pleasant and kind employees. I had to check in later in the evening and was greeted kindly from a gentleman that came out from behind the counter area. Though he may have been engaged in something, I would never know because he was ready to assist any way he could. The room was immaculate. Very clean and functional. The bathroom and shower were very nice.The bed was comfortable and even had a choice of pillow types. This was the first time that was an option. I an a timeshare owner and have been in really expensive resorts and have not had that kind of experience. I would recommend this location to any weary traveler. I did not have the opportunity to sit in the hot tub since I arrived too late. The breakfast was good and the morning staff member was very pleasant as well.
Our room is very clean and updated. The beds are super comfortable. The bathroom has a jetted tub. I love that this place is quiet and very close to all the cool things Salida has to offer. I feel like we are staying in a luxury hotel but at a very affordable price. We will absolutely stay here in the future!
